1. Information We Do Not Collect

Anki N4-N5 JLPT Test does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data whatsoever. We have no servers, no analytics pipeline, no backend. There is no account to create and no login required.

• No name, email address, or contact information
• No device identifiers or advertising IDs
• No usage analytics, crash reports sent to us, or telemetry
• No location data
• No purchase history beyond what Apple manages directly

2. Your Study Data

All study progress, test scores, flashcard performance, streak data, and AI-generated study plans are stored exclusively on your device. This data is yours — we never access it, and it never leaves your device unless you choose to back it up via iCloud.

3. AI Study Coach — Apple Intelligence

The AI Study Coach is powered by Apple's on-device language model (requires iOS 26+ and Apple Intelligence). All AI inference happens locally. No prompts, responses, or performance data are sent to any server. See apple.com/privacy.

4. Audio

Native Japanese audio is bundled within the app. No network request is made to fetch audio. The microphone is never accessed.

5. Subscriptions & Purchases

Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple's App Store via StoreKit. We never see your payment details, Apple ID, or transaction information.

6. Third-Party SDKs

The app contains no third-party analytics SDKs — no Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Facebook SDK, or Crashlytics.

7. Children

Because no data is collected from any user, the app is safe for learners of all ages — including young beginners starting their Japanese journey.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update the date above. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Anki N4-N5 JLPT Test ("the App"), you agree to these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License Grant

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial study purposes.

3. Free vs Pro Subscription

• Free — first lesson groups, first 3 test papers, quiz mode, audio, streak tracking, and progress stats.
• Pro — all test papers, all lesson groups (N4 + N5), streak freeze, JLPT readiness score, custom card editor, and full offline access.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period. Manage via Apple ID → Subscriptions.

4. Intellectual Property

All content — vocabulary cards, questions, audio, study materials, UI design, and AI-generated plans — is the intellectual property of the developer. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part without written permission.

5. Acceptable Use

• Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Do not extract vocabulary databases or audio assets
• Do not use the App for commercial tutoring or redistribution without written permission
• Do not circumvent in-app purchase mechanisms

6. Educational Disclaimer

The App is a study aid covering both N4 and N5 levels. We make no guarantee that use of the App will result in passing any JLPT examination. The AI Study Coach provides personalised suggestions based on your in-app performance.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App.

8. Apple's Standard EULA

This App is licensed subject to Apple's Standard EULA. In any conflict, the Apple EULA prevails.

Does this cover both N4 and N5?
Yes — the app includes vocabulary, grammar, reading, and listening content for both N4 and N5 levels in one place.

Is the AI coach really on-device?
Yes. Apple Intelligence runs entirely on your device's processor. No data is sent to any server.

Which iOS version do I need?
iOS 26+ for the AI Study Coach. All other features work on iOS 16+.

Can I switch the study plan language?
Yes — translate your AI-generated plan into any of the 13 supported languages with one tap.

How do I cancel Pro?
Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone and select the app.

Where is my data stored?
Entirely on your device. iCloud backup is controlled by your own iOS settings — never accessible by us.
